Cristin Bryan writes upmarket fiction focusing on the nostalgic, complicated choices and hidden histories that redefine our lives. Fascinated by the architecture of human relationships, her work spans from tense, dual-timeline psychological suspense to character-driven ensemble dramas exploring how our pasts follow us into the present.

Her debut novel, The Road Between, examines the tightrope of family secrets, maternal devotion, and the psychological cost of survival.

When she isn’t expanding the world of her debut—including a planned prequel tracing the gritty origin story of how Walt and Lux’s mother first crossed paths—Cristin can be found writing across a broad canvas of transitional human experiences. Her upcoming projects include a multi-POV ensemble novel exploring the lifelong imprint of summer camp (think Indian Summer meets The Big Chill), a contemporary drama tracking an early-20s crisis of stagnation, and a witty, character-rich study of an adult teacher finding herself back inside the surreal fishbowl of the American high school experience.

Cristin lives and writes in Nashville, Tennessee, where she is always mapping out the next crossroads for her characters (usually with a cat in her lap).
